Creative Services helped the Aurora Historical Society publish a 256 page hardcover book for the town's bicentennial. We were involved very early in the process, and helped develop a concept and budget. We made layouts and mock-ups for presentation to the Board of Directors.

Along with historian Richard Fetzer, we pored over the archives and selected The most interesting and relevant photos and documents. The text was expanded from previous histories from Centennials and Sesquicentennials, errors were corrected as new historical information was included.

Each chapter begins with a photograph from the museum collection. The photographs were taken in an on-site studio. The photos were taken in one day. The book is professionally indexed.

Below are some representative pages from the book. All photos are duotones. A script typeface was used for sub heads. The book is case bound with gold foild stamping. it has a laminated two color dust jacket. 2,500 were printed. The book has won a Gold Award from PIANKO.

The book costs $35 and is available from the Aurora Historical Society at aurorahistorical.org.
